During my time as a videographer at RSVP Gallery, founded by Virgil Abloh and Don C, creating videos for Off-White™ was a highlight for me. The team at RSVP always gave me full creative control, allowing me to implement my personal ideas & style into the work.

To promote the FW22 collection, I drew visual inspiration from late '60s and '70s psychedelic visuals, blending it with a lo-fi VHS aesthetic. On the surface, it’s a cool, trippy visual paired with an fitting soundtrack, but on a deeper level, it’s a subtle attempt to draw parallels between Off-White the brand, Abloh, & Hendrix. Although the two are from different eras and mediums, Abloh and Hendrix shared a spirit of boundary-breaking innovation that redefined their fields. Becoming catalysts for a shift in the popular culture of their time. Also, their similar deconstructive or distorted techniques. Jimi with his guitar & Virgil’s designs literally and metaphorically represent the breaking down of fashion’s traditional barriers. As a genuine fan of both artists, I wanted to implement that thought into the Off-White™ FW22 editorial for RSVP Gallery.
